why anyone would want to move this overpopulated, impersonal, claustrophobic, rat infested city is beyond me!

I don't get it when people say that London is impersonal. You're far more likely to strike up a conversation with someone in a pub and get new mates in London than you are in most small towns in the UK. The idea that it's friendlier Oop North is a myth, people think you're fucking weird if you talk to strangers in Grimsby (and to be honest you probably are as the town is populated solely by retarded mingers). It's certainly not the place to move to if you're a shy retiring type or a bit of a crusty, but if you like meeting people, a frenetic lifestyle full of changes then it's ace. The majority of the misanthropes on here seem to live in places other than London for a reason.

You want south. Come to NZ. It's as far south from London as you can get before you have to head north again.

it is pretty dry for night life :( but most of my friends live there so it's fine :)

It was a joke note the :P

I end up talking to strangers all the time here - although I would never consider doing this in Yorkshire as it's full of inbreds :D

I have my reasons for living up here
