ebay and pawn shops are great if you know what to dig for
also a c64 and mssiah cart and sid2sid board kills the cost and such of most synths and romplers

i got my soundcraft 200B 16 channel mixing desk for £100 on ebay :o

it has literally been the best thing i ever bought... except perhaps my MPC :D
