Haven't played either before, though as part of my "buy all and every great PS2 game" mission I picked up Shadow a month or so back. Same with the GOW's. Haven't played them yet, but they're sitting there waiting to be opened.. looking forward to Shadow

nice one, quality title. still listen to the soundtrack to this day. hope you can find ico for a good price at some point. like a fool i sold my limited edition copy many years ago. ico ftw.
totally, although mine had that bug which meant you could only get a certain way through the game..hopefully it will be available as a download at somepoint on the ps3 as more people need to know about ico.

it sounds like gta4 on the 360 is better than on the ps3; the performance is better and you get loads of free downloadable extras on the 360 (or at least will do in the near future)
the ps3 is probably going to win the marathon though isn't it

My copy of Shadow is the SE, still sealed and all.. I don't buy used, ever. I'm very OCD.
On the look out for a new copy of Ico, can get the regular edition for about £20 delivered, even a bit cheaper, but want the SE.

have the same dilemma in chosing between them..?
not interested in the online side of things
Just want one for the rainy sunday afternoon ting to play PES and GTA4
must say that the Ps3 controllers are far superior in their design and would swing it for me.

I've always been drawn towards getting a 360 as the last two Playstations were awful pieces of shit. Blu-ray might swing it but does it actually play alright? The PS2 had real trouble playing DVD's.

Yeah, this is what has made my decision easy. Just can't get on with Xbox controllers...too much stuff, all in the wrong place. I've had playstations since the original, so the controller is second nature to me.
A lot of what FelixGash has said has also confirmed my inclination towards the PS3.
ALSO...Metal Gear Solid 4 - only on PS3 (apparently). That's enough for me really.

Well, considering Blu-ray is a Sony 'invention' you should hope so, shouldnt you?
As it goes, the PS3's BD (blu-ray) player is one of the best you'll find on the market today.
(Stolen from elsewhere) "It's capable of playing back content from a Blu-ray disc at a bit rate of multiplex 48Mbps with ease, the maximum bit rate defined in BD standards."
Don't know the specifics off by heart, but you can rest assured if you bought a PS3 for Blu-ray playage alone you'd have made a good choice.
I've not actually read this review, but it's supposed to be quite comprehensive so check it..

I will when I get a minute myself.

Went with the ps3 in the end, i'm naturally a PS guy and noone convinced me about the360.
The blue ray dvd, playstation control pad, free online play edged it for me.
310 squids with GTA, got if from Zavvi in Croydon if anyones intrested in the bundle.
Now I need a 50'' LCD.

nice one Chef- 310 aint bad for that bundle.
I just been lockled away with GTA4 and a mate for 2 days- wasn't even considering it before, but now I am thinking about getting a console. Serious withdrawal symptoms. Thing is, I'd only want it for PES, COD4 and GTA4 at most as I don't get time to play computer games anymore.
Xbox 360 and GTA4 bundle is £160!!!!! which is almost dirt cheap and I'm seriously considering it- i really don't care about exclusives, online capabilities or games in the future as long as they get GTAs

and tbh i've been very impressed when i've played on xbox.
1 question though- is PS3 as noisey as xbox? I swear if I got one i'd have to soundproof it and lock it in a safe in order to hear the sounds from the TV...
