Breakcore got me back into being excited about tunes, in fact, the gateway to electronic music for me after burning myself out on punk. Weird huh? Kinda grew out of it a little bit but:
-Snares does indeed have the absurdly good live set and his level of quality production is untouched. This dude is unfair. Sabbath Dubs was awesome too, definitely not dubstep at all, creative and well executed.
-Agreed, Blaerg is way underrated, what an excellent producer!
-Rotator and Teknoist both have the super aggro shit down correctly. Teknoist is one of the few harder edged dudes I can listen to for over a half hour. Mix on EE is excellent.
-DROP THE LIME! Holy shit, before this guy went dubstep, then blog-house, his stuff was fire. The early 12's and This Means Forever LP on TB6 are unbelievable, full of hooks, SUNG VOCALS (!!!) and hyper-edited microclips. Saw him do the live thing around 2005 and it was great. Haven't totally given up on this guy yet.
-Electromeca is on some other shit, mixing hip hop, breakcore, and has that destroying Soundhack style microedited repetitive aggression. Fun!
-Dev/Nul, Ablecain, Nero's Day at Disneyland, Electric Kettle all deserve a listen too.
-Have to say, still am not feeling Doormouse and Drumcorps/Aaron Spectre (although the latter does a good live set). Doormouse's stuff is just a little too silly and scattered, and I think Spectre's sound design is kinda wack (those clicky-ass bass drums). Recommend me some of the hot shit by them, I'm down to change my mind.

I've done a bit of breakcore production, and have a 12" on Kvist records.

Between 1998-2005 breakcore was all I really liked or listened to with any regularity.

Went to Lobotomy on Saturday just gone and met Shitmat, good geeza!
The breakcore and gabba was a many that night, lots and lots of gabba. Jahba was playing some fucking gorgeous heavy gabba, and Shitmat cleaned it off after that.
Producer was amazing aswell, however I can't remember anything and managed to attain a nose bleed
God I love gabba.
