Anybody got any pre 1990 Kiss FM tapes? I.e. when it was actually pirate. Any pre 1990 London tapes would be appreciated in fact. Also any Bristol pirate station tapes would be appreciated because I'm trying to get them all up on The Pirate Archive (Google it)

Mulder, I started listening to Kiss 100fm during Dec 1990, 3 months after it went legal. It then had a 2,200watt rig from Croydon, so it got over to West Oxfordshire nicely. I've seen a few pre 1990 pir8 sets floating about on the internet.
I have several galaxy fm tapes of Roni Size & Krust, plus a couple of mixes from guest DJ's like Stepper D etc.. All late 1994 / early 1995. I recorded these from West Oxfordshire! The Galaxy 101 fm signal was strong but i had occasional interference from Classic fm. Nice 1 for those Bristol tingz, i'll check a few of 'em out.

This is actually a couple of my tapes recorded back 2 back so is 3hrs and 20 mins long. Some good stuff on 'ere also but the sound quality of the last 20 mins is a little poor.

This mix is only 26mins long but features some top tunez!

Lydius4608, that particular Galaxy fm rip is wicked (probably the fave Galaxy fm set(s) i have). 125 mins of quality tunes.
All these tape rips have been handpicked for their quality of selektionz - they are all good believe me!

Nice one Dazz. I've got loads of pre 101 Galaxy sets from Jody Wisternoff (Way Out West) and DJ Die (Full Cycle) who used to make hardcore under the name of Sub Love which I should get back online again at some point.

Also, have you got any pirates from the Midlands / North? If so, The Pirate Archive would probably like to have a few off of you.

Diggin' Rythm Kicker March 96 Pressure fm tape.
Wasn't into clattering breaks dominating bass then but sounds fresh now. Will check more.
