In Stoke a dubstep scene didnt exist but since Ive moved to Sheffield Ive been a busy raver. There always seems to be a night on some where, wether it be fused with Techno or D&B.

Paris scene going strong indeed. Quite a few small nights around. But the two main nights are Melting Point and Basement Ltd. Since iv been here iv seen Goth-trad and Rusko. And coming up is Skream and then N-type and Ikonika.

Melting Point is going to have its 3rd birthday in January.

Not to mention alot of good french producers and djs, The 7even crew and Mac Koall who is doing stuff with Cotti.

All in all id say its very good across the channel.

Oh yeah and Croydon, not much coming from there :P lol

Peace

we also got some really nice evenings here in munich. the scene is small, but everybody likes it though....once a month we got some big acts coming into town, i think next week or the week after it's benga steppin to munich...but we are actually right now trying to put munich on the scene and expand dubstep here...it's worth a try, ain't it...

we sprinkle the dub in wherever we can in louisiana ... mostly dj it during mixed-genre shows and especially at dnb shows. we've had a handful of all-dub nights and for the most part they have been successful. also pushing the sounds on internet and FM radio. it's definitely catching on here. :)

The scene in Leeds is nice and healthy. As mentioned before we have nights such as Subdub, Exodus & Ruffage, also loads of smaller nights & loads of DnB nights that throw in dubstep sets. Also, Ranking Records & Hessle Audio are based here.
1 thing I like about the Leeds' scene is the fact the city isn't too big, everyone knows each other & theres a generally good vibe.

And it's growing...

Manchester is full of decent dubstep nights. I'd say outside of London, it ranks along with Leeds, Bristol and Nottingham in terms of quality and choice.

You have Bass Camp, Exodus (now and again), Drum Music and Warehouse Project from time to time. The Faktion and Meandyou parties are ace as well - T++ and Shackleton played recently, and I hear 2562 is in town shortly.

And there are loads of smaller nights which are completely or partly dedicated to dubstep. I've probably missed some obvious names here - apologies, been keeping it a bit quiet lately. In short, I'm sure you can get a dubstep fix twice a week here, easily.

Just a question for all the American heads. Is there a scene of any sort in Tennessee? I may be relocating there for a few months next year. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Brighton is buzzing more than most places in the UK. Superdubpressure - I don't really need to say anything further. If you've been you'll know.

And along with that, Brighton's got the monthly Dubpressure, 138, Square Roots, Sub Division, and many many more one-off Dubstep events at other clubs around the City on a weekly basis.

Bare producers, DJ's and promoters down here doing their thing - and that's what it's about.

Los Angeles, aka home base, has yet to experience a lull in bassweight activity. The only city other than London with bass so heavy i've actually gotten nauseous. Smog, Pure Filth, LA Dubstep Nostra (shit, will upload asap) & Dubstep on the Beach: http://flickr.com/photos/ajiri/collecti ... 981638515/
& http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.c ... Id=1735514

San Francisco
is nuts. ok? it just is, accept it. SF had family vibes down when most others where scrambling to find residents. that said, there just arent enough pics to do it justice, so here's a very few: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.c ... Id=2157911

Denver Sub.Mission is just about the most organized party stateside (seriously, Mz2Phresh, youre amazing), with one of the most hospitable crews around and a scene just fucking BEGGING for dubstep :o . still workin on the remainder of those flix as well: http://flickr.com/photos/ajiri/collecti ... 974503977/

Miami Winter Music Conference needs no introductions, its just stupid, stupid good times with absolutely minimal sleep and lots and lots of rum: http://flickr.com/photos/ajiri/collecti ... 474103935/

Chicago
!! One of my absolute favorite cities in the world is also home to a wonderful family of the most humble and easygoing bassfreaks east of the mississippi: http://flickr.com/photos/ajiri/sets/72157605976782834/

New York
Dub War, so memorable that i consider relocating here every few months: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.c ... Id=1645570
& http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v301/ ... DMZ_AGAIN/
& http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v301/ ... vs_Dubwar/

Also, Kansas City KABLAMMO! - pics from which i STILL havent uploaded (blame my external HD) - is straight bonkers. space suits, helmets, wigs, and weekly "Thriday" celebrations... all in a city that embraces music & appreciates beef as much as i do. best fucking prime rib ever, ever. ugh, so dope.

On next year's list (if i stay with my current job): Philly, Boston, Seattle, Portland, Austin, Houston, Phoenix (again!), Albuquerque and some repeats. If i dont stay at my job, then probably still half of those cities...

I've been so blessed to travel as much as i have this past year or so, and even more blessed to find like minded freaks -er- enthusiasts like myself to work with and ultimately meet. You lot are a rare gem, and this might be the gayest post I've written but so be it, you people have blown me away.

sincerely,

sara/hera
DC should be coming up soon. A lot of heads in that city are turning on to the sound from the hard work by Amitai, Jukata, and the rest of the DLOD. Have their first headliner comin through courtesy of LODA who has brought headhunter out...

Been tryin and tryin to get DC off for ages, and those cats went and upstaged me :) Much love to 'em all....been spoiled here in SF and want to send the love home.

The guys running LODA are great, they take risks. They're really excited about this coming Friday, and I hope it goes well for them, would love to see more dubstep at the venue they have.

Also, I heard John/12th Planet is going to play at Dirt in November. The venue Modern is really good, but Wednesdays are a rough night for me to go out and I don't know how well the event is promoted. Need to light a fire under them to get the word out.
