very interesting thread, I think we'll all agree that math plays a partial role,
but if we took it too seriously we'd all be listening to blips and glitches.. oh, you already do

Music isn't maths, it's sound
Sure you have intros, breakdowns etc going in 8's, and tune progression in 4's. And have a timecode like 1/16 and bmp of 140 etc... You could talk all day about how maths is used in music, it's used in it, but it isn't maths.
If music is maths, explain Jazz & classical music...
The only reason maths is used in music is because are brains are programmed to work in patterns when listing to sound progression, therefore most things with rhythm need to stick to this law to sound good to us (even IDM has a rhythm that sounds good, however many time changes it goes through in a single song)
If you think music is maths your obviously slightly autistic, and need to become a little more human to have your opinion even considered as fact by me. Suck out!
