Reason all the way. Love it, dont like the way it sounds when your using it on its own but rewired with pro tools/ableton/cubase its the fucking shit!
Got ableton but havent really got into it yet - I need another injury to keep me housebound to learn the ropes. Looks awesome though i really wanna get into it - especially for the djing element to it, i've got some of the sickest tunes on my hard drive i could run amok if i started mixing
Pro Tools for general production just because its what i used at college and at work so i'm pretty comfortable and can use it to suit my needs. Its also good using an industry standard programme as it keeps me learning new things which i can use should i ever get myself anothe rjob in post production.

I voted FL, surprised reason didnt get more votes tho.
Does the fact that the cheaper DAWs are more populer mean that dubsters arent as likely to pirate SW?
somehow I doubt it

I started with FL 3, back then it was too hard for me, then a while later I picked up production again, used reason, which is awesome, I must say, now I'm back to FL, I also have tried Cubase, which I didn't like, because it's a major resource hog and overly complicated(I can do the same things in FL, only a lot easier)

Im surprised ableton has the largest vote. its a great creative tool for live jamming, but just couldn't click with its 'normal' linear sequencer. But then i guess it doesn't really matter what you use, its what you can create with it.

Once you learn the ins and outs of Ableton, it's a performance instrument in and of itself.
