really felt all the tunes that he played.. the new burial stuff is nice too, it didn't blow me away though..
This is how I felt. Burial tunes tend to take a while to grow on me though so perhaps its just that? They didn't strike me in the same way that those unreleased tunes on the Kode 9 MAH mix did - those ones sounded different, darker... The ones on Benji B were alright but sounded a bit more-of-the-same. I suppose its a bit much asking for something new from a producer whose entire back catalogue is so unique and original, though.
'Black Sun' is fucking great, enjoyed the Ikonika bit too (a bit G-funk-y). Loved that Terror Danjah tune near the end too.
loved black sun too... sounded fly-lo esque.

the first burial tune doesn't sound like anything he's done before. the synth/melody is absolutely incredible. it's still stuck in my head.

anyone know the tune playing between 01:25 and 01:31, just before the first burial track, when he's talking about the book, etc?

The whole set was incredible. Burial's new tracks are amazing, as always. Is it just me or do these tracks have a more hopeful vibe than his older stuff? Something about the melodies feels different, on a fundamental level. They're more like accessible, more obvious. Still amazing, though.

right, firstly amazing show loved the new kode9 stuff and the second burial track especially, but can someone tell me, in the first burial track is that sound that sounds a lot like an elevator chime actually part of the track or is it something benji b is playing to stop rippers?

Yeah I was wondering about that too
I half suspect that that sound might be what makes people say its completely different to anything he's ever done lol

yeah haha, if it is part of the tune I hope he sorts it out a bit cos it sounds messy as fuck and is far too loud and doesn't fit at all, if it was a bit quieter it think it'd work really well but it just overides the tune really

the repeating note is definitely part of the tune. I think there's some jingle in there that isn't, tho.
