No need to humour you. You've concisely summed up everything that is wrong with the sound.....pengwavs wrote:okay iv seen a few people slag midrange now and im curious as to why ?..
is it because it takes minimal effort to produce ?
it hurts our ears ?
or because its been done that much that people are sick of it ?

same could be said with reesesfutures_untold wrote:No need to humour you. You've concisely summed up everything that is wrong with the sound.....pengwavs wrote:okay iv seen a few people slag midrange now and im curious as to why ?..

Reeses are marginally pimped sub basses imo.
All about the hoovers!
(Just don't confuse the two....)
reeses are all about the midrange and high rangefutures_untold wrote:True.Deadly Habit wrote:same could be said with reesesfutures_untold wrote:No need to humour you. you seem to be living in the pastfutures_untold wrote:Reeses are technically just lowpassed detuned saw waves. No fx, mid or high in those.
Some people put lots of distortion on what started out as a Reese. But then they don't really constitute a Reese any longer, more like cack

coki is DEFINITELY not midrange cack. When spongebob came out in 07-- even when chef debut'd it and kept calling it "mental,"-- it was just totally stunning.yong wrote:Coki is not midrange "cack."

Erm, actually I think you'll find there's plenty of mids and highs in detuned saw waves. Saw waves are the most harmonically rich of the basic waves (every harmonic is present at decreasing volume as you go up) and adding detuned layers puts even more harmonics inbetween. The reason reeses are so nice is because they cover such a wide frequency band leaving you with lots you can do with filters.futures_untold wrote:Reeses are technically just lowpassed detuned saw waves. I agree that saw waves have plenty of frequency content across the whole spectrum, however, my first point remains. The Dub Lemon wrote:Erm, actually I think you'll find there's plenty of mids and highs in detuned saw waves.
