Cool looking venue Burn - who was there in the pix for the last WMC? How is the bassweight? Occupancy?

I see that Gridlok is playing there on the 10th - I'll ask Ryan what he thinks of the venue when he gets back :)

Thanks for the lead - how's the response when you play out?

We have a killer sound system if I do say so myself. Nexo highs and custom built bassbins. :? Ehh, I deal with thies WMC promoters all the time in the forum I MOD. I personally could careless about pushing Dubstep on them, for most peeps tied to this event have there nose so high up in the air. The whole electronic music industry down in SOFLA is so commercialized toward house. (don't knock me if my forum player is playing house, it plays other electronic forms aswell  ) I personally would like to make the sickest Dubstep track that one could dance to (in the works) to put dubstep on the map here in SOFLA, to maybe kind of force WMC to recognize the shear power of Dubstep. I missed the old future is now sound of electronic music that the commercialized house music killed here in SOFLA. I envy you UK people.

laundry bar parties were fresh last year (they may have sucked though for the huge line of people stuck outside, get there early!!! lol)

if theres something dubstep going on this year, ill be there (i mean, ill be in miami for sure, and ill be at the dubstep party, if & when it happens)...

Don't know if this is any use but I went to WMC three or four times back in the late 90s/early 00s and it's 70% bullshit (although the wicked weather, pool parties and good times are a pretty good bonus). But there's always one or two killer parties and those ones end up being massively influential. You'd be guaranteed to smash it. Whether you want to or not is another whole thing.

there is dubstep at the laundrybar in miami regularly...

TS Heritage is one of the rotating residents and we have a show comming up Dec 15th with The Haunted Audio who do dubstep (www.myspace.com/thehauntedaudio)

DnB heads may know of The Haunted Audio better as djs ELEMENT & REDCOAT, two very influential DnB djs in Florida since the earliest days...

OK, I'm a bit late into this, but enough heads sent me some links to these threads that I thought I might check some of this discussion. Firstly, I'm not sure who Diztrucktif is, but come on man, don't front like you've got anything to do with BeatCamp. Unless you're Marco, Damian, grrl13, InfluxUK, Aura, or one of our rotating guests, don't claim points for "bringing d'n'b to Miami". I'm all for pushing the sound, but do it right. Build from scratch, don't claim other crew's hard work as your own.

As Seckle said ... we've been running UKG and it's sub-genres since 2000 in Miami, so get out once in a while and hit up some parties. The majority of the heads involved in DubStep in the states have played at or come through our "Transatlantic" party every year at WMC.

Flying down on the 21st. love to meet up with some of you label reps about widening your digital distribution possibilities. ESPECIALLY if you're pushing dubstep. hit me up and maybe we can schedule something in advance.
