Balkansky & Temper D - Clockwise/Passing Through (Rocstar) Good breaks jocks know when to drop down into something more stripped down, dubby or with broken riddims in different ways. Everybody needs a breather. Cut La Roc is one of those DJs, cutting shit up like an expert motherfunker, and this breakstep/dubstep/techno double-header is out on his consistently innovative label Rocstar. 'Clockwise' has an ace snare and a bassline that wobbles from deep inside while technoid beats join in as garnish. 'Passing Through' also morphs into techno, proper '90s Teutonia beats. Two wonderfully wicked weapons.
