errgg second this, the only american mainstream-shit I've heard was the snoop track which was rubbish, this would be interesting if he's just made a dubstep track without shouting shit over the whole thing?

I'm just going by what I've heard from him so far. Which makes me think I'd rather hear Dave Chapelle do dubstep.

i dont know if im pumped for it (although if it was REALLY GOOD i'd be), but im interested in seeing what hes gonna do within the genre. i heard snoop dog's take on rapping over it with that snoop dog millionaire song, so lets see what lil jon does. i didnt know he dj'ed miami bass prior.
....gotta say if it was dj screw coming out with a dubstep mixtape though, on the other hand

Yes. Everybody knows Lil John fans are generally of the intellectual elite...
Well maybe not, but its genius that he managed to trick so many people into paying money for his CDs...
I'm just as excited about Lil John in dubstep as I am Puffy or Kanye or anybody else who is more image than music.

I'm just saying, to the dude a few eons back...
Lil Jon actually came up with a style of music that's new.
Z-Trip is another Generic trip-hop dude.
I'd rather hear Lil' Jon's Dubstep than anything Z-Trip has to offer.

Dude, are you kidding me?? First of all, Z-Trip has mad DJ skills. Like one in one million dexterity, a genuine gift for manipulating the tables. You could argue that Lil Jon has a one in one million ability to make saying "OKAAAY!" sound real cool, and you'd be right, that's just not what I consider to be "musical talent."
Second of all, there's nothing "trip hop" about Z-Trip... His stuff is way too fast and dynamic to be trip hop. I saw him spin a set here a while back where he played at least 100 45's over the course of an hour, blending hip hop with breaks with 80's pop with 70's rock... By far one of the dopest DJ sets I've ever witnessed.
What does Lil Jon do at a concert besides repeat the same 3 or 4 words over and over and over and over? Its fine if you like that kind of stuff - obviously lots of people do - but its not really "music" in my mind, just a tool kids use to help themselves feel cooler.

Does anyone know if Lil' Jon is producing these tunes or just rapping on them?
