Welcome, you just made yourself out to be the thickest person on the board. Congratulations.

last thing i ever would want is for people to be like me.

only thing i wish humanity could do was try harder to think for themselves, and question why they get SO ANGRY about societal norms being challenged.

the slightest bit of discomfort results in such hostile backlashes.

this behavior is programmed you know.

you're not a real boy until you let the strings go.

seems vegetarians are one step below sizan on the ladder of social acceptability. I'm actually scared to tell people i am vegetarian for fear of torrents of reactionary bile in my face.

I am not mad about anything, just amused by you, shame really we're on the same side but you're too obuse to realise that (or read). Instead you witter on about "programmed behavior" and "puppets" and other pop-psychology that you read on the internet and don't really understad... as you have demonstrated your inability several times in replying to me of your lack of undetstand and comprehension. Would you like me to spell it out slowly for you? I don't mind if it would help you further yourself and feel better? :)

What about vegetable rights? I believe that intensive forced farming of vegetables is cruelty to them.

And are insects considered meat? Coz we very likely evolved from insect-eating mammals!

Raw, fresh meat is every bit as edible as raw, fresh vegetables. They both go bad when bacteria starts feasting and growing on them. Vegetables only seem to last longer coz they have a "hard" outer protective layer. If you cut up a tomato and leave it by the side of a slab of beef, they'd probably spoil in about the same amount of time.

i've been thinking about switching to a mainly vegetarian diet...like others have said, we are pretty far removed from the actual processes involved in getting our food and when you see them, it's hard not to feel uncomfortable

i'd have to break out some bacon and a steak occasionally though, i don't feel the need to become a militant vegetarian

plus- you can grow 7 times as much plant based (shit description) food on land than you can livestock/meat etc, so when huge swathes of the planet are unsuitable for agriculture in the upcoming years, a lot of us will be priced out of eating meat (imo)

There was a program not so long ago which studied the health of both meat eaters and vegetarians diet over a period of time. The results concluded that it was actually healthier to have a balanced diet of both meat and vegetables. The 2 groups did swap diets however so how conclusive this study actually is I dont know.

I coudn't ever be a vegeterian. Fuck that.

I seem to be completely carniverous by nature. I would happily live off just bread and meat if it wasn't most likely going to make me fucking ill after a while.

I had to live off vegan food last year for a couple weeks last year when I worked for the Greenpeace site for a while (to get free entry) at Glastonbury. I actually couldn't do it. I felt awful. Actually started having serious cravings for eating meat. Ended up just going straight off to get the most fatty and meat filled food I could as soon as the dudes selling food turned up there. It was weird. Had no idea that I would actually start physically needing to eat meat like that.

lol at people who take pride in their choice to be 'carnivorous'

"fucking hell i could never be a vegetarian, i love bacon..it jjust tastes sooo good"

people starve while you use up land and water to grow a cow for your food.

waste.
