				I did a quick review after giving it a proper listen;
Apathesis - Begin E.P
Whatever floats in like spacious protogarage on a bassline feeling old skool yet new, discordant synths gyrate before the minimal hook bounces in syncopation on the beat, to drift you further off into sub space.
Begin sinks you in softly till the beat pops around the tight metronome hats, sparse guitar licks brighten the vista as the melodic bass rolls on sweetly while lush organs grace the mood in between.
Picking up pace with Wake up, a sub heavy driving rhythm, still remaining deep but shifting up a notch on the drop with a 4x4 twist that puts you on edge, as the spoken word and atmospheres keep you trapped in the abyss. Ethereal noise and dissonant pads break into the brutal neotribal grimey shuffling rhythm, enveloping you in searching bass as the rain dance hails the deities down to bring the danger. Tight stuttered beats develop to smooth swells of melody as the bass lifts you on heavy swaths of sub, the vocal snippets drift off calmly into the progression. 5am takes you back to those times of early morning light, new dawns.
In short I like it a lot.

				Maximum respect for the delivery of free goods, especially when they are this brilliant.
'Whatever' and '5am' are just beautiful pieces of music and really stand out for me. BIG things from this man, look forward to future brilliance.

				bump to say that i effing LOVE this ep - every song is gold. dropped whatever, begin, and wake up on the radio show and got half a dozen txts in asking who/what it was!

  (considering it's a student radio station and all the students are away that's decent as). got a few texts when i palyed it last week as well
Wake up sounds huge on a big system and the vocal snippets in whatever are off the hook.
