Most agree that Burial is very much on some shit. Most likely wouldn't agree that Coki is.

me no friend dem...
limb by limb, cut dem down...
haha, this thread brings me back to be honest. all my friends love dubstep these days, and almost all of my dnb heads. and all the closet dubstep heads have all freed their spirits these days, it's like we've got support from every genre scene up here.
as far as my friends go we're all inbetween 21 & 27, but the youngans around here love it too. and i'm sorry to say after reading most of the replies in here, but even my ex girlfriend and her friends enjoy dubstep a lot.
there's always gonna be those haters out there, sorry if they are your friends doing the hating cause i've been there and it's nice to be over with.

In my group of friends pretty much all of us love it but one of them is a music student at college so always looks at music in a technical way and can't enjoy a song because aparently it's "over-compressed" or something like that. A lot of the time i swear he doesn't even have a reason not to like the songs he just makes up some technical music bullshit and says it just to criticize it.
It pissess me off because i don't give a shit if it is over-compressed or not, if it sounds good then i am happy. So yeah he pretty much hate's Dubstep apart from a few songs that he says are alright.
His favourite genre is Jazz...

.
Edit: He said that the Bassline is this song is over-compressed. I actually wanted to hit him ha -

Im glad there are still people who don't like it it tbh.. im a little worried about it getting too big and ruined like hip hop / D&B and the rest...
fight the power!
Imagine how i'm feeling, the ONLY person up where i live who likes dubstep and a girl.
I'm desperatly trying to push it onto people round here but they aint having any of it.
Meh.

I dn't care what people listen to.
But i'd like a bit of variety when i see people! The one playlist my friend has, gets a bit too much.
I'd love for a filthy dubstep track to be dropped when i work a friday or saturday night.
That would never happen, the customers don't like anything that isn't in the charts.
Lady GaGa (no lie) 4 times in one night takes the piss

Me and all my mates all got into dubstep together and we've all converted our girlfriends and even some of my older relatives have copped kode9 on wax and the burial albums..
So If people don't wanna listen to it I see it as ignorance and couldn't personally be mates with someone who doesn't have a open mind in music..Like those people who'd never step foot in a jazz bar, just ....... wrong *shudder*
To answer your question - no, i gladly don't know any DnB fans so I don't know many closed minded twats.

i understand why people don't hear dubstep because i can't hear dnb.. just can't.once i could now i don't
the only drum n bass i allways loved to hear is the original KING TUBBY's one!

You can kinda understand why people don't get it. The vast majority of dubstep being churned out now is pretty turd tbh.
People don't have the time or the patience to dig through and find the interesting bits.
