a few years ago there name kept popping up, when i was getting into dubstep. I heard the fabric mix and i have to say i was addicted to listening to it, sometimes in the car now i still pop it in. There is so many styles of dubstep, they are experimenting like most ppl, and pushing various sounds not just in your face bass weight dance smashers, do like what both of them do, is big

The thing i will say about Caspa and Rusko is that they're fun, their live shows and releases might not be everybodies piece of cake but they do know their party music and their bass driven thumpers do get everyone excited.
So many people complain that they're selling out, and i think they might be, in particular Rusko, but i think its fair enough to be honest, i don't think he's talented enough to be a real laster so he's released he's got an expiry date and he's gone out to have fun and make as much money as possible while he can. People complain that he's not true to dubstep when he plays at under 18 nights and stuff like that but he is spreading the word of dubstep, he's making dubstep that the masses can relate to and in a way he can be seen as a 'gateway' to real dubstep dj. For a genre to truly advance it needs variation and dj's like Caspa and Rusko give dubstep depth, which is no bad thing.
I have always enjoyed his tunes, not loved them, but enjoyed them. I do think that caspa has a little more credibility but the same applies to him.
Big up the two of them.

fabric cd left me cold, as much as I wanted to like it. Still I like some of their earlier stuff.

Are you talking about the unreleased remix that's been around for 2 or 3 years?

That was Reso.

No it isn't. It's Rusko.

the fabric live cd was bloody aweful and IMO gave them the bad name they seem to have struggled shaking off.

Individually I think they each nhave great qualities in particular rusko whos energy and "fun" style is great for those that like to bounce around a venue...

Caspa im still not sure about. Think some of his music and dj sets have been very suspect but his remix of deadmaus is an absolute belting tune. Then you have to look at his remix of depeche mode wrong which is fucking diabolical, out of key boredom fest.

Just my opinion though, they do their thing very well, I warmed up for caspa on a Tuesday night a while back and the room was completely packed and jumping. I just don't see them doing much else other than the obvious.

Safe

Are you sure? I was always under the impression that it was Reso.

Oh well, I was never into it anyways. Had nothing on the original in my opinion.

this. when he played his most recent show here in Toronto he did the whole thing using ableton & played live basslines on a bass guitar. c'mon, that's fuckin badass, and rather original if you ask me.

and especially this. there was a time when I would've said that Rusko was my favourite producer. far from it now, I wouldn't play any of his tunes in my sets anymore. BUT he was essentially the marijuana to my now heroin-esque dubstep addiction.

big both Caspa & Rusko up LARGE, especially for makin tunes they wanna make & laughin off the moaners.
