uhhh you get the items and/or spells and you equip them. you learn spells by getting the spell tomes (the court wizard is a good place to start) and then going into your inventory and clicking on all the spell tomes to learn them

yeah but can i swap between the two setups like for example on call of duty, you hit triangle to switch to your secondary weapon setup and triangle to switch back to your main. can you do this on skytit? from what I'm seeing so far, i don't think this is possible. cuz i don't think it would be very practically to manually swap a sword for a bow and back and what not, would it?

lol have you never played an rpg before?

you open your inventory and equip something else whenever you want to change. it pauses the game and only takes a couple seconds. and you can also favorite certain weapons/items and then bring up the favorites menu (also pauses the game) to quickly change gear

Dark elf. Mine is really ugly. Also, magic is fucking overpowered once you hit level 50 destruction. I don't much care for other magicks.

Blowing shit up is all I need.

Also, do the mages college quest line furst because you get a ridiculous rObe that increases magicka regain by one hundo percent.

Had to use console commands to kill that guy in that ridiculous dungeon right before the end tho.

yes, i've played diablo 2 and been around friends playing plenty of other rpgs. in diablo 2 you hit w and it switches to a second weapon setup just like in cod, and theres other rpgs with similar systems so don't judge man. i was hoping for a way to quickly pop off a few arrows run up and slice a mother fucker. it kills the flow and moment having to pause and switch weapons constantly. obviously if you need to switch weapons to survive a battle its no big deal to pause but that wasn't the point of my concern.

nice ill have to look into the skills and characters more. i haven't looked into the game much i just knew i would like it after seeing my friend play it and also being a fan of oblivion and such.

I would stick to only a few skills, it makes the game much easier. I tried being a jack of all trades and it got crazy difficult around level 20, but then it slowly got better... Whatever you do don't spend a lot of perks somewhere that you won't use very often or will stop using half-way through the game.

I levelled my smithing to 100 when I was around level 15-20ish, got my enchanting right up too, you wouldn't believe how massively gimped my character was for about 15 levels. Had to go power level conjuration so I could have a dremora lord with me til I could level up my block and light armour skills.
So yeah, careful about overlevelling noncombat skills unless your character is already shit hot at combat.

pussy

nah thats the best magic robe in the game if you use more than one school of mage (100% mage regeneration, use 15% less magicka for all spells, and +50 magicka)
and are you talking about morokei? (dragon priest) he also drops a mask that does +100% magicka regeneration

took me fucking ages to kill tho, i was only like level 18

Just bring a long a bunch of potions (healing and resist), and use the slow time shout as often as you can. Having said that, I was in my mid-20s at least, possibly even mid-30s.

For race, I think that picking either Dark Elf or Nord seems very advantageous. Not because of the skill boosts but because of the innate fire/frost resists. That cuts down the pain from 50% of the dragons. Most mages seem to use cold-based spells too so I think Nords come out a bit ahead. Otherwise it will take you some time to make/collect resist equipment/potions.

If you favourite items, spells and powers you can assign them to number keys. Then you can easily swap between spell and weapon combos without having to go through the clunky menus. If you're using destruction spells, you might not even need a bow to be honest.
