Sub bass is spot on! I feel like it's missing something to help the fullness. I'd like to see the hi hat used a little more, too, or crashes for variation. I'd like to hear it on a some good subs.
Here's an updated WIP of my electro/hiphop beat. Increased the sub a bit and added crashes and tweaked the mix. Does it need any high range melody or variations in melody? Thanks and Cheers!

alright sounds really good man...but if your going for a hiphop feel, these are some things I would recommend for you to add to bring it closer to that type of feel.
-add some tubular bell hits or orchestra hits on the downbeats
-bring more non-synthesized instruments into it and have them play more on the upper register. I would recommend some piano, strings, and brass
-also alot of the time in hiphop, people have never heard of this frequency layering stuff so its ok if some instruments are occupying the same frequencies.

@donpablo
Thanks for the advice. I'm thinking the same thing with the kick. I've layered 3 strong kicks, but that top one is a bit much.
For you: Bass is solid. Great production. I like the variety and movement. I could see someone drop a nasty remix of this. Good stuff!

@ kidstrange - Love this. At first in the beginning I didn't like the drums that were hard to follow, and then when they added the element to structure em I still wasn't sure, but the droney vibes and whao whao sounds are perfect, drums fit as well. And samples. Nothing sounds badly mixed either. Subs at a fine level. Good job. This actually got my head bobbin at times. The ending is lame imo, maybe delete it.
may you enlighten me on improving the ending. i can perfectly understand shorting in...other than thats thanks for the feedback.
As for your tune imho the intro needs more.. the snyth is a tad plain needs beefing up defiantly. that sound at 1:27 i like that although id suggest changing it up a bit try pitching it. kind of like 2:50 but more. this has alot of potential. you may want to shorten it a bit. as for your request on needing help you have the bible here and youtube best friends on production.
@donpablo thanks! - like your intro lot of sounds going on with i dig very well filled. sounds like you took a bunch of old video games and mashed them bitches together no complaints really.. minor changes would be the sound of the main "wobble" ... maybe ...im a litttttleee hesitant on it. i like it but from what im hearing sounds like you could make that punch way more. keep it up

@donpablo - I really like the vocals and intro but not sure about the 2 step beat at 00.30. The design of the main section is good I would just keep working on those sounds to make them big.
@Romans - Nice vibe, the beat seems a little weak IMO I might try solo it and rework it so it can stand on its own and sound full and complete without the rest of the elements. The synth overpowers this a bit for me might just be my laptop speakers.
Something from earlier on in the forum completely reworked... I make a complete musical mess most of the time so advice is really helpful in moving my tracks forward. If you want help on one of your tracks add me on soundcloud and I can point you towards good sample packs, working methods and vst presets etc...

@kidstrange - Intro seems nice, slow lead in with a nice pad and drum combo kicking off proceedings in a nice relaxed way, like the way the snare comes out of nowhere, not too sure on the womp being on it's own, it's a nice sound but the tune sort of sounds empty and lacks a drop of sorts, maybe look into in sorting out some buildups and drops?
@Johnw1415 - Sounds quite basic if I'm brutally honest, you obviously spent a lot of time learning a bass synth although it's worth spending some time learning eq and "pushing" your sounds to get the very most out of them, don't let it dishearten you though, you are on the right track, give other parts just as much love as you give your bass and you'll get some good results.
@jetpack - i liked the intro of this, it's my kind of sound musically, when it dropped I like the drum programming, the buildup could've been stronger and contained bit more and the drums could be fatter as they sound a bit too nice and clean and not hard, but it's some nice work

@ don pablo - think the kicks a bit loud, or if theres some sidechaining going on there, might be a bit over the top. also, make more of those vocals, really sound good in the mix when everything else is going. also those toms fills sound good, compress the fuck out of those, ha. think the dirty wobbles a bit generic, compared to sort of how the rest is quite interesting arrangement wise. but personal taste etc.
@dream thief - feel the drops lacking something. like the wobbles low mid and theres not much sub, so its sort sort of lacking punch, try and add in some higher harmonics, or just eq the wobbles high mids. like the intro, sounds interesting. i can hear some weird distortion on the main drop too. not sure what it is. also, add something to the very first part of the intro, the rest of its interesting, but those first 8 bars or whatever are a bit long.
@eldooger - think about variation and incidental stuff more. like atmospheres and shit. also, the snare samples a bit lacking... might be alright for the little roll thing at 2 mins, but maybe a harder hitting one would be good. your wobbles a bit thin. needs some lower mid shit. drums get a bit tiring, pattern wise. sounds like youve got something there, just need to keep adding to it.
safe, heres mine...

Just been listening to a few tracks over the last 5 pages or so. Got some real talent here.
@DreamThief - That "NewTrack" ... pulse bass at the end of that track was immense. Feeling it man, got me nodding and a bit of a face melt on.
I've posted my track below *also in my sig* for some criticism. Be good to hear what you all think. Go easy - first post and all.... jokes, go in dry!

I guess shortening would do. It didn't sound bad so I shouldn't of said delete it. I agree that the songs synth starts out very plain. I need to fix that. What do you mean by pitching it? I'm also thinking of shortening.

@metzz - That shit sounds really chilly. You should definitely keep working on that!
My latest WIP. Haven't done much to it yet. Tell me what you think (haven't added a subbass yet):

@mikey
Synth-wise and on the mixdown it sounds alright, however the structure of the song and melody doesn't appeal to me, it's a bit too random for my liking.

Still lots to do on this one, but any feedback is appreciated. Only got my monitors for a week now so I'll most-likely have to revisit the mix-down.

@710 - I'm REALLY feeling this tune. Listened to it at pretty high vol. on my studio monitors and i have to say, that synth is beast. Love it man.
@Spacekid I love the synth at the end of this track. Had a head nod going on for sure! The synth solo in the middle seemed to last long for me, but thats probably just the ADHD. All in all I think its a solid track, would love to hear it when done!
@Radiant This is pretty massive sounding. I love the melody and layering. The mixing sounds really tight, props on that. I'm getting a Flux type feeling from it. Looking forward to the final.
