that sound is honestly wretched haha i can't stand that sort of formanted bass. sounds inharmonic too. sounds like it had been made in massive, formant on osc of course and scream filter. trial and error ,MKRUGGER wrote:Yeah, kind of a crappy Subject, but whatever..

Then I started trying to make growly patches, and I got some decent results, but I want to try something different.
What I'm looking to try and recreate is the Waaaaah sound from Skrillex's "Needed Change" (I like Skrillex.. Suck one ;] ) .

It goes like "Waaaaaaaaaaaah,Waaaaaaaaaaah,WaWaWaWaWaWaWaaaaaaaaah" That sound.
I know there's a million ways to achieve any sound, but anything to get me close? Even if I end up with something different, it could still come out cool!
This is for learning purposes only.. Not trying to be Skrillex xD
even tho that is really vague^ those 2 tings i had mentioned are the basis of how the sound had been created (at least that's what it sounds like to me, can't tell you how you could make that specific sound in any other synth, which kind of renders my advice as pointless, unless you have massive or are getting it))

I like some of the snares Skrillex uses a lot, so I decided to run a track of his through the parametric EQ 2, and it seems like the new 200hz is now the 150hz snare? I like the sound of it, haha.

Well new music comes from trying to mirror another artist. It helps find your own unique sounds and it can end up turning into something completely different.
