but, on the plus side, that would mean something had happened to romney ... swings & roundabouts ....

If you don't think Romney is a complete fucking sociopath you're kidding yourself.

Socially, he's awesome. Economically, not.
I remember reading he also wanted to slash medicare, medicaid and social security in half. I like some of his stuff though too. He wanted to also slash military spending by about half. But I don't see why that shouldn't go right into healthcare etc. With half the military budget they could really steer healthcare in the right direction, and that ties into education as well.

libertarians are odd and stubbon beasts of the true republican guard
unfortunately they carry their free market economy ideas to health care
it was one of the main points i disagreed with ron paul on, but i think until the fcc bans pharmies from advertising and we get medical supplies in hospitals at a fair market price (fuck $5 band aid $800 half mile ambulance rides) health care is fucked as is, even if we get it for "free"
if we even just cut a quarter of the spending on the military we could afford so much more

I've theorized that behind closed doors they all laugh their asses off at us, then pretend to argue in public
this 100%. the two party system is a charade. the drama keeps the public's attention and keeps us pitted against each other. nothing is more scary to these people than the idea of americans working together as one

the shame is the presidential election (which honestly doesn't mean that much) distracts people from their local elections and even who is running for house and senate who hold the real power

good point. i live in appalachia. our congresspeople vote against coal, yet we favor romney?? (i think in the long run coal is a dead industry)

and people blaming obama when congressional repubs literally vote no and filibuster EVERYTHING.
