I just remembered that Satin Storm - Let's Get Together is the ultimate unmixable tune in dance music.

I've heard Uncle Dugs successfully mix it with another tune before, but his skills are unreal compared us mere bedroom DJs!

No, the ride cymbal is on a backbeat, i.e the cymbal hits in the intro hit on the 2 and not on the 1.

Yeah backwards is easy to mix so long as you queue it in on the second beat of the bar

yea i figured that out. it's a full beat delayed when you count 8/8 or "half a beat" when you've got a halfstep tune, which i tried first. that sounded very odd with the cymbal on the backbeat. i still find it easier to set the speed first starting the cymbal on the 1 and cueing it up on 2 afterwards to bring it in.

that's not that hard either. from the first hi hat it's 20 bars to the drop.rhythm is a little odd, though.

Yea i can mix it in (barely), but the tune itself is just hard to follow for me to mix out of it

I'm sure someone has said it but Mala - Left Leg Out, Forgive, Hunter are all pretty hard. Lots of difficult Mala tunes. Mainly Left Leg Out though is pretty much impossible for me.

Kung Fu Kick rmx has got that annoying little pause b4 droppage

Same with Alex Coulton - Equilibrium, but that tunes pretty easy to mix aside from that silence in the highs at the drop.

Actually it's really fun to mix.
