Hey guys, my name is Matt and I have been getting pretty into producing dub step lately. I wanted to post my new track up here and see what feedback you guys could give me but for some reason I cannot post in the dub feedback section of the forum. Whats up with that?

wub wrote:Becuase making new threads in Dubs is limited to those users with 50 posts or more. This is to discourage one post wonders spamming their tunes, and to foster a community spirit within the Dubs board.

If you'd like to get your post count up, I would suggest listening to and giving constructive feedback on tunes that other users have posted :t:

Hey guys! I'm Skyrunner. I guess I could go ahead like everyone else here and just say I've been starting to get into dubstep and really like it blah blah blah the end, but ehh that's boring. I've liked it for 4+ years and I've actually been producing for about 1 year and am starting to really get perrrrty serious about it! There, pretty different, right? xD I've invested about $400 dollars into my "career" and it took a ton of work to get enough money for what I have now (which is pretty meager compared to a lot of others).
I just have FL Studio 11 Producer edition and a Novation Launchkey as my main producing-oriented things. I have a nice pair of speakers that I got from my dad, but they aren't monitors so don't always give me the correct viewpoint on how my stuff sounds....Oh well. I especially like melodic dubstep/lovestep kind of music. If on the off chance you want to listen to one of my tracks, here's a link. But I'm in no way telling you to absolutely listen and follow me or anything. Just if anyone wants to.
:)

Anyway, glad to be a part of the forum here - seems pretty solid! :)

(PS - I also am a huge gamer)

Hello, I just registered today. My stage name is Blue Fusion and I make what could be called trancestep. I'm highly influenced by Seven Lions, MitiS, Above & Beyond, and such. I was wondering if anyone could teach me how to get this sound from Seven Lions' song "She Was feat. Birds of Paradise."

The synth starts at 2:00 and kinda builds into a riff going down. Absolutely melts me away when I hear it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jS3FveGPGEo&feature=kp

Sounds to me like a bit of a sync lead mixed with a square lead with some good fading, compression, and volume control, but not too sure. I'm using sylenth1 but I also have a few AU plugins that deal with square/triangle synths as well.

Anything helps! Thanks! Looking forward to posting more on this site soon!

Hi everybody... Im dansci...

I first heard of dubstep 4 years ago and hated it.
Ran into some dubstep on YouTube last year and started liking it.
Dubstep overtook hip hop as my favorite music genre this December...
And during a period of emotional chaos this march I saw a trailer to some dubstep themed movie and decided that I would become a dubstep artist.

So here I am...a novice...eager to learn the ins and outs of dubstep production in ableton. If you have any advice or tips feel free to message me.

I'm Star Lux, I've been producing 5 years and have finally got around to be more social in the EDM community. I produce dubstep mainly but I do make trap and house as well. I recently released and EP called "Modern Talking Is Stupid." I'm from the good ol' New Orleans!
