Sydneysider Steve Hunter is a fuck'n hard-to-believe bass-player & composer
Truly, he would shit on Stanley Clarke playing & tune wise
and his band is better than the Necks...less constipatedly meditative & more vibrant/bass-oriented.
I'd love to get them to interpret some bassweight digital tracks I've heard lately...
speed would be no prob; he's played with Billy Cobham & Chic Corea
and whilst they're essentially a prog fusion band they can do backbeat & chunky too.
