No one was hating on him... If you're trying to mix vinyl by dropping the stylus onto the groove where beat 1 is, imo it's justified to take the piss a bit

That's my experience. Maybe with new needles on top notch turntables the difference
is a lot smaller.

It's a trick dude... laces were tied (and hidden behind the tongue of his shoes/under his trouser leg) all along.

Pretty sure you can't actually tie laces like that.
