A vocal 12" of Commotion VIP would've been A LOT
Imagine that b/w the Play Your Corner remix or suttin - Blackdown you know what to do....

yeah that'd be a killer plate... rate the Play Your Corner remix very highly, but I doubt it'll ever see the light of day.

still this sounds finest moment tbh!
I want more mcs in this sound. And not just rasta dread vocals and emotional shit either I want some rude 2 step style mcing
grime actually didnt take itself so seriously, revival grime in general is a lot of kahn & neek evil sounding shit and emotional mr mitch stuff, but not a lot of jiggy stuff

Quite a lot of Kahn n Neek is pretty jokes tbh, from 'How We Roll' etc. onwards they seem to take themselves less seriously than some of the 130 gang, not really trying to push a movement or ethos just interested in making big tunes and whacking in a few 'yes iyahs'
The new Bandulu is pretty jokes in a good way imo

i think we can all agree a couple more mcs wouldn't hurt at all
the emphasis on instrumentals has encouraged people to get a bit more 'musical' with grime, but i still get bored by an all instrumentals mix without mcs

i wonder if 130 would sound better with dibby dibby style garage mcs (psg, creed, sparks and kie stylee) rather than grime style (riko dan, wiley, novelist flows). always thought the grime mcs ive heard over 130 (unless its played at 140) sounds a bit awkward

I think that's what Flava D, Champion et al. are for really. still a lot of jiggy / bouncy / fun shit out there, no?
