Was listening to really heavy techno and my nose started bleeding #hehasrisen

some berlin samplepack deep house douche (whose name escapes me at the moment) was kicked off the decks earlier this year after he got a HORRENDOUS case of nosebleed. coked out of his mind, his formerly white shirt was completely red since he lost at least half a pint of blood. through his nose. and he didn't even notice it, just kept on going, clanging tunes left and right... some girl on the dancefloor fainted.

all in all the night was way more izan techno than the lineup suggested.

looking to upgrade my production setup, enjoyed the akg k81s people here recommended but wanna get something more in the 100-150 quid range, mates recommended these and the reviews are great

while we're at it, what are the main differences between Audio-Technica LP1240 and LP120? Been reading the specifications and shit but really all i can distinguish between them is that the LP1240 is metal and heavier while the LP120 is plastic and lighter, and the 1240 might have a stronger motor/more torque.

Probably gonna buy one. Anyone have either of them?

have a 120. I dont mix so i I cant speak to any of that but I have yet to be disappointed by it

Mixing on the lp120 is doable but not very fun. Theres just not enough torque.

The lp1240 is actually really peng for mixing imo. Really solid turntable overall.

I would just cop the lp1240, unless you are just buying to listen to records, in which case the lp120 is great for that.

i only have enough money to buy one right now so it would mainly be for listening at the moment (although i also plan to connect it to my s4 so i could do vinyl + digital mixing). but i plan to buy a second one in maybe 6 months when i have some more money so that i can mix without digital (although i'll probably still just use the s4 as my mixer cause $$$).

def just go for the lp1240 then, you'll regret buying the 120 down the line.
