You know what l hate? The letter l. lt looks too much like a 1 or capital i, and the only way to tell it apart is that it's slightly taller.

l think a lower-case l should look like a lower-case l.

l changed all capital i's in this post with l's. Who noticed?

I did, I can tell by some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few l's in my time.

Why do students love Annie Mac so much? I've heard her be referred to as a 'godess' before....numerous times people have told me they "always listen to her show" as if this would impress me.....

Nothing against her...but, any ideas what it is she does/plays that the kids love so much?

I'm not a student and I like Annie Mac. She plays a really good variety of stuff but tends to play a lot of party shit which is good if your listening to her show before a boozer.

I suppose a lot of students will like her because they know fuck all about music but might want to start learning, so when something banging comes on thats not played by the daytime dafties they go nuts for it.

In which case I support this.

(Just read what I wrote back, and it sounds angry and dismissive! I didn't mean it to if it does...I was just curious).

Random thought #2.

White (and English) church goers are weird. I can say this, as my parents are some....but, them aside...they're all really odd. Even more so, people that're my age and go to church (of England...can't speak for other religions). It's almost like they're outcasts of society, and they love going to church because thats' the only place they're accepted. It's odd..

(I know this makes me sound like a tw@...but I'm just putting it out there....)

"Judging" (for lack of better word) groups or associations by the people that you know that belong to them is unreliable. For example, my brother-in-law is perhaps the coolest person on the planet, and he's a Christian. On the other hand, when I'm going to church with my family to put on an appearance, I definitely see those nerdy Christians walking around with their white shirts and leather-bound bibles bookmarked to Romans 8 that make me shake my head and chuckle.

The same applies to smokers. I think most smokers look retarded, with their hand movements, pursed lips and standing posture, but there was this one guy I worked with who looked so cool and badass when he smoked, to the point where I asked myself if I would look like him if I started smoking.

Although I agree what I'm doing is judging.......my entire life has been spent around these people...as well as travellign to various places in the country to baptisms etc etc...and my findings have been pretty conclusive.

This is just England though....and pretty rural places too. Admittedly, I met some pretty cool people from inner cities when I was a kid that're involved with the church. But.....I kind of think they were only there because they'd been made to by their parents (like me). The ones that choose to on the other hand....

I'm lookin at a £5 note which has printed on it :

"The Royal Bank of Scotland plc promise to pay the bearer on demand FIVE POUNDS sterling at their head office here in Edinburgh...."

But who in their right mind would travel all the way to Edinburgh to hand over their fiver and be given FIVE POUNDS back. Just doesn't seem worth it. :?

And you need to demand it? Can't u just ask nicely?!

I think (altho am most probably wrong) that all money can actually be exchanged for gold. Money is effectivley just an I.O.U.

Somebody tell me im wrong?

Money doesn't exist. What LA Boxers said is true. Money (notes) are technically IOUs. So, when you think about it...our entire society....nay, the entire modern world in which we live, is based on nothing.
