Anyone know of any Monster X mixes/sets?

Saw him at Methlab this weekend, was pretty much the only person in the room, was fucking mental, no idea what he was playing, I assume they were his own productions but I can't find any that sound like it, was a lot more full on & hardcore than the stuff I can find of his online.

Edit: Soundcloud

It was like an hour solid of that, I went fucking ballistic.

Discovered this one in one of the Mark N remixes. It's so badassss. Cheesy pads and all lo-fi, but I wouldn't change a thing. It's just got such a heavy fucking vibe. If the vibe is right, technique doesn't matta

thanks dude

@topic: FINALLY this is on youtube, been wanting to post this for years now

the lack of bass is almost criminal but apart from that it's an insane tune, haven't heard anything quite like it so far

nah man
just cause it's got a trendy hypersnare doesnt mean it's not brobrobrobrobrobrobrorrible

didn't like the heretic ep either, not even the rotator remix. sounded utterly generic and uninteresting.

Man the PRSPCT sound has been becoming waay more homogenous. Brostep sound design (like the actual timbre), 4x4 rhythms, bleeps and bloops. It's all Outside Agency meets Current Value.

All the recent Gancher & Ruin stuff sounds like a parody of itself too

it all sounds so clean
i mean its noisy midrange-y but... different. like either the highs or the bass or sometimes both are overpowering the actual music.

this has become stale way too fast

I like the ocasional tune, but pretty much stopped paying attention to the label a couple of years ago.
Saw that podcast this morning and figured someone here might be interested.

When I first heard 'Operation X' by Limewax and Panacea, I was mad excited about what hardcore/dnb would grow into together. It was sleek and well produced but still really raw and brutal. Sort of felt like the breakcore of the 2010s and shit. But it turned into the jump-up of hard electronic music or some shit.

And 'Testify' by I:gor is the most embarrassing tune ever.

Agreed. PRSPCT is going really brosteppy in a strange way.

I know exactly where people are coming from, but if you go to a recent PRSPCT night, it's no different from any other really, they play crossbreed and hardcore, it's just a brand that peeps are gonna hate on cos it's blowing up, how it works really.

I'm not talking about the nights, but the label. But there's even issues with the nights too (well I haven't gone to one yet, but all line-ups are the same, like we discussed before). Generally, hard dnb and hardcore nights have the same sound now. Therapy Sessions is the same sound too.

It's not 'hating'. I loved the Detest release. Just that the label's mainly releasing the same overly clean 4x4 hardcore/dnb stuff lately. Almost alll of it in 175 bpm too.

Just turn back the clock to a few years ago. Counterstrike sounded like Counterstrike, Limewax was doing that Tech Itch on steroids thing, Panacea was doing dirty ravey hardcore/dnb crossover stuff, Current Value was switching styles every 6 months, etc. Now it's all turned into 4x4 rhythms with a Current Value snare and brosteppy bass sounds.

PRSPCT isn't the only label like that (Nektrolog1k and other labels are doing the same thing). But the sound just completely homogenized from being really fucking varied a few years ago. Listen to the latest Gancher & Ruin release, or the Goldberg Variations EP, or that Limewax mix. It's all that stuff that was so varied and cool a few years ago with all the life sucked out of it.

The biggest tune from the last year, and most rinsed one, was TOA's remix of Lenny Dee's 'Fuckin Hostile' and that took a step back to just breaks and raw kicks. Love that one.
