has anyone been encountering the phrase 'trigger warning' on the internet more and more....seems somewhat ridiculous

Literally only seen it on sites taking the piss out of radical tumblr pages. Beginning to think its one of those things people take the piss out of, but isn't actually happening.

trigger warnings should have a trigger warning because that mollycoddling bullshit makes me sick

nah got added to a facebook page for jokes wikipedia entries and there's one on every post and its not tongue in cheek, the users do seem to be some grumpy fucking nerds too

seems fully dumb, i rate being sensitive to people that have suffered serious trauma, but if you're browsing internet or otherwise going round your day you have to be prepared for unintentional slight reminders suuurely

...yeah it was a little more fun about a year ago

most of the people are still safe though, so its a pretty weird thing to criticize. It's not like theres been some influx of specifically shit posters or something. Its the equivalent of saying "this conversation has gone to shit" and everyone in the conversation agreeing.
