Yeah, all I've heard from Mssingno seems to be the sort of stuff that people were packing "Burial rip-offs" for a few years back, but with a grime/trap beat instead of a dubstep one. Floaty synth, loads of ambience, pitched up r'n'b sample. Tunes are alright, just pretty standard imo.

Someone like Bruises for example is imo just a more evocative producer, sounds like he comes from somewhere..

i love his tunes actually, real melodic sensibility to em, like the trap shuffle, love the big rolling basslines (verrrry burial though in that respect)

i really enjoy people that make tunes in dance genres with the idea of music in mind rather than for clubs

no, but for real thats a valid point ... having these sort of producers that almost invariably curate stuff within the context of the 'genre' they happen to produce in and has that pop appeal at the same time.

Then again there's levels or reasons to why something is catchy and how safe/proven something is and how much that could be accounted to clinging on to someone elses coat tails or whatever and at the same time there's a limit to what people are exposed to and the producers ability to transverse/overcome that.

trying my best to not sound like a huge prick but missngno is one of those dudes that make me go "oh come on I could've done that" I mean nig gas best hit is a tune with a nice chord progression, a pitched R kelly acapella and a nice melody made with a percussive synth, prolly collision.

not saying that I don't appreciate. those are good tunes and well made but most of them don't have me awestruck but instead I feel that I could of made it sorta lol

lol mate I didn't mean literally that I could have, as in I chose not to. just that I have the general knowledge and musical talent etc that in some alternative universe I could have made it in a sense.. nah meen like when some music is absolutely beyond your understanding then there's shit like mssingno who doesn't basically do anything you couldn't replicate to an extent

Probably the best tune of his I've heard, not sure if it being a remix of Shura is clouding my judgement though.
