They're by Whites. 'Hawthorn Suede Oxford Boot' Unfortunately can't find them in the UK, needs to be a Japanese import jobby

Hmm I wouldnt risk it myself. Guess if they are dark and coated in treatment they will be ok. Theres enough vidoes on youtube of people coating them in silicone spray and putting them under running taps to make me consider doing that too.
