watched 35 Shots of Rum yesterday. French/German film about the relationships between 4 people living in a Paris apartment block. Really really great film. Watching these relationships develop as the film progresses is done really well, and the film doesn't really 'get in the way'; there isn't a conventional plot and the film just observes the lives of it's characters, it's very subtle and doesn't hold your hand.

Highly recommend.

i can't believe this movie exists. no shit i haven't heard of it before.

the reason i score it so high is because it's really really well done for a straight-to-DVD horror movie. it's not torture porn and actually puts effort into being creepy and having a storyline

oh god, a few pages back there's a rant from me about this movie... would actually be decent without all the goofs and plot holes...

the ending actually is pretty good, but seriously, fuck that movie

the nines is incredibly awesome though. i dunno if i really made that clear.

definitely deserves more credit than the IMDB score gives it... really clever and well done... original and provoking. not a fan of Ryan Reynolds but he's a decent actor and fits the movie...

biggest surprise for me was that Melissa McCarthy is the cousin of Jenny McCarthy... woaw 0_o

watched both Coffee and Cigarettes and Ghost Dog Way of The Samurai over last few days, love them both jim jarmusch is a sick director

CATFISH - proper good, interesting doc. doubt its entirely real but who cares? its still banging!

also got pumping iron downloaded but its xvid and wont play on the old 360, so need to convert it. just havent got round to it yet. heard good things about it though!
