Norn Irish people will use any excuse for a riot; but tbh it just sounds like an ordinary night on the Falls Road.
Was the ban on fireworks ever lifted in norn iron? I can't remember.

not sure what deleting your texts will do. The phone companies know every owner that was near every place a crime was committed down to the second. They have every text message stored, every bbm, every phone number youve dialed, etc etc.

If the government decides to go that far they can get those records and nail just about anyone.
yeah but that's if they go that far. deleting them at least protects you from the scenario in which they have easy evidence against you just by browsing your phone.

it'd be a trick making them explode seeing as its inert
Heat will still make the compressed helium expand till it explodes out of the cannisters.

Naw, we just wait for News International to do that for us.

Yeah, it was lifted ages ago iirc.

how is it justifiable to shoot the protesters/rioters if you have just seen an example of how to NOT shoot them and deal with a situation well??

baffling logic

problem being helium is inert. The explosion would be nothing more than compression displacement. No explosion.

I think theres 8 shops been burnt in Woolwich (where that video is) tonight... Weatherspoons, another pub, job centre on fire (others are but not sure which).. DLR station & train station has been smashed up... I can smell is burning plastic in my house.

Its really, really grim.

My mate has to leave his house near the high street and take refuge in my other mates house down in the Arsenal (a semi-private estate down by the docks) and they are seeing loads of people run through there with weapons, bags of looted goods..

Its disgusting, I know I live ina shit hole but they've just renovated the whole town centre for the Olympics and in the last 5 years its become a proper nice place to live, with hardly any trouble..

Now its just going to go back to the shit hole it once was..

:corncry:

Sorry, talking about within the context of the US law. The police would be justifiable in shooting someone in the US for doing.

Justifiable in the US is more commonly used in the context of shootings and whether the shooting was legal or not. Not a level of morality.

there were reports there may be hydrogen in the canisters but I fail to see why they would have that

Could probably kill someone in the room with it or if it shot through a window.

Dunno if you ever made those CO2 racers in school shop class that you puncture the cannister and it launches them down the way. Same general theory... compressed inert gas.

Kinda bothered me the BBC guy followed up that report saying "sorry hearing now it could by hydrogen" and then moved on. Hydrogen cannisters are a HUGE fucking diference. Depending on the size and number of tanks, that could level a building. Hydrogen is flammable in the air if concentrated in tank form.

Olympics,
Riots,
Several million people packed together
Gangs of youths looting the streets at random
Am I the only one seeing a pattern here?
