Speaking of Biome, looks like his track "Solstice" is getting released on Artikal. Kenzo announced it on Rinse last night.

Fuck yes, Solstice has always been the standout Biome track for me aside from Genesis (in terms of new tunes/dubs).

Yea i have but it just doesn't really do it for me. I can see why it stands out for a lot of ppl though. The rhythm is pretty clunky imo and I'm not much of a fan of those huge midrange reeses. They can be nice when used sparingly (like at the end of a phrase) which is why Solstice & Genesis have been the ones for me as of late. I also like Foreigner & The Scent a lot as well.

the textures he incorporated in Solstice are much more appealing to my ears; the drum programming is a bit more on the techno side of things which generally does it for me. also, the snare in Genesis is really annoying.
just to clarify: this is my personal oppinion of these tunes. I'm certainly not hating on Biome or trying to badmouth him or anything, since I deeply respect his work and music - these one's just aren't to my taste (and they don't need to be, lol).

Biome's recent material on Tempa is really good but IMO his tunes on the Deep Heads compilation are on another level - loving the versatility
Zen Circle is one of the best Tempa-tunes in years. although I'd love to hear a remix/vip which further explores the motive that appears shortly at 04:27. would be proper Martyn & 2562 vibes.

Check the Bunzer0 thread in the Mixes section, it should be his latest show.
