yeah but i mean with the reminiscing old school tunes also you know? people always talking about old loefah, mala, distance tunes. to me, there are so many old school cluekid tunes that I consider to be right up there with the best tunes from the early days. every tune i hear by him is fire. and he balances the grimey side and the melodic side of dubstep perfectly imo

That one tune from him, Mistik World was massively underrated. Everyone was begging for a release, but I guess it'll just be another lost dub (if it does get released, System might be a good contender to put it out)

^ actually that was the tune I was thinking of not Electric Avenue.

Considering a few of these tunes are over half a decade old now I'm surprised there aren't newer labels picking up on some of these lost dubs (System as mentioned, Innamind ect.) Wonder if its simply new labels don't really know or wanna release old tunes or if its producers seeing it as the past? Quest is another that must have bags of dubs from the Conquest days...

lol i've never heard of either of those tbh but they're definitely bangers, i love that sample @ 1:26 "they come in here and play jungle music all night"

I think the problem for a lot of producers right now is that with the defunction (is that a word) of labels like black box, southside dubstars, ringo records, etc, they just don't have much of an outlet

I could post Cluekid tunes for days, but here's just a lil snippet of sum favorites.
[+] Spoiler

(this ^ is what i mean by balancing melody and grimyness perfectly)

and no list would be complete without this one - gotta be my favorite

they definitely know of them and i think they would be happy to release them, more of an issue of the producers not wanting to put them out for whatever reason.

Cyrus has midnight iirc

I also need to buy more cyrus vinyls, all his tunes are weighty af based on mp3s so I can only imagine how they would sound on wax...

False Imprint from Thelem is very underrated in my opinion, but that's due to the Perfect A side I guess. Never heard it at the local Party but when I got the opportunity to Spin some wax I mixed it with rules of the dance and it was quite good in my opinion.

Bring Me Down is a big tune and always causes hype, but False Imprint >>>>> Bring Me Down imo.

False Imprint is definitely underrated. I've always kinda grouped False Imprint with Commodo - Axis. Both sick tunes that are sorta lesser on the hype front and don't get the recognition.
