Lett me know when yuo want to do a test stream man, i can send you the shoutcast and windows media settings if you wanna do audio only / audio & video

could do a audio only stream test later tonight if you're about. when's good for you? would it just be a simple matter of changing details to get the audio/video one for when the webcam's sorted?

If you've got a couple of sound cards you can do both at the same time (assuming you have enough upstream bandwidth).

i've only got one soundcard... does that mean we can only have audio? or mean that we can only have audio or audio with video?

Yeah audio only, or both unless you stick another card in there - should work ok. Unless you have multiple inputs?

multiple inputs into the soundcard? well i've got line in from my mixer but that's it. the webcam will connect via usb not straight into the soundcard right? what would you need more than one input for?

as you can see i'm wonderful at technical stuff

You'd only need another input if you want to do an audio only stream as well for itunes/winamp etc. Lets keep it simple this first time round maybe and look into that next time

yes 20 minutes - anything goes as long as it's a good mix

Erm.. OF COURSE it will be a "good mix". Insulted you even felt the need to remind me of that.

chances are very high, sounds ace shame you can't make it though... make sure you tune in!

if we do end up getting too many mixes then any that don't get played this time will on later shows

you don't have to read all the pages btw, just read the first post on the first page and everything should be there

Is it going to be recorded? Hope so, I won't be able to catch it live as we're on an all day pub crawl for a couple mates' birthdays..!

yeah I what mic input does your mixer have? (if it has one) - I will try and supply the right cable
