I'm a page late but

I'm excited but hesitant about Sanders announcing his campaign.

Why hesitant?

nothing to be hesitant about, i guarantee you the man himself knows he has no chance, he just wants to make a bit of a statement and at best influence the debate a little

@phigure he knows he has no chance assuming clinton stays in the race the entire time. but there's always a chance one of bullshit clinton-scandals actually harms her, or is even a real scandal, making her a flawed candidate, in which case they may go with the ol' bern. also he could be running with hopes of dropping out and being promised a position like vp, sos, etc.

I like that 'socialist' is still kind of a dirty term in parts of the US

I never had an allowance as a kid. I did chores for 12 years without compensation. Socialism in one house.

That Sanders guy is either social democratic, or not eligible for the position in the
first place. Or is he trying to overthrow the current political power

yeah same, I never got an allowance. My parents would give me money randomly so idk if that counts tho... lets call it donations

he's a SocDem who calls himself a socialist

That's a weird strategy. Social democracy is what we want, not socialism.
Maybe his whole campaign is going to be reverse psychology.
