i feel the same way. i just never got around to it and by the time i started thinking about it, i was in first semester of junior year meaning i would have had to do it senior year, but i wanna spend senior year here, so... i'm planning a trip to london right after graduating. might not be as organized as a study abroad and there won't be people i'm automatically hooked up with but should be the next best thing i imagine.topmo3 wrote:not really pissed but for a while now i've been thinking about whether it was a wise choice not to do the fall semester abroad... i mean, i acknowledge the fact that it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a great way to meet new people and network internationally which is key in my field. we also get financial support so basically they would have paid for my flat and flights and given me some money for food as well. a friend from my class is doing his exchange in london i must say i'm a bit jelly for him.
but alas i did not possess the balls to apply for an exchange year. it's six months anyway which is a long time and i got a lot of stuff here as well such as a flat and a girlfriend. but mainly it's about not having the balls to do it. :/
