i have never ever ever got extra money due to people paying late despite what the contracts say
this goes for my personal work and the studio i run lol....bros never pay more.
if someone doenst wnat to pay you and its not a huge amount of money then there isnt much you can do about it without spending moneyu and effoet

There is this. Or the possibility of this which helps things from getting to this point. At all points of the process actually. But Molz knows his clients. I had firm in LA, I'm a little fuzzy, but I don't think we ever signed a contract. NDA's, but I don't think we ever signed a contract. Five figure deals. Most of our clients were steady, though. Very few one offs. I'd of liked contracts to govern other aspects of the relationship though, like clients providing assets on time. na cos no one actuallys pays me late, mainly cos im a sound geezer. but also my contract is fairly harsh if people are paying late. like jose said it just helps stopping things getting to that situation i think
one of my mates gives people like a 2% discount if people pay within 10 days. even though its fucvk all apparently most people pay within the 10

actually, the only people who have ever paid me late was one of my really really good mates bands, who i did a sleeve for super cheap, then they fucked off and took the piss with paying me, and paid another desginer i know who did work for them way after i did, before they even paid me. and they sent her 2 of the vinyls i designed. ffs wankers. they got a very harsh telling off. stnuc

Okay, if the job was a one off and worth a large sum then sure, id have a contact drawn. I have pretty good relationship with all my clients and they know they wont get my level of service elsewhere. This particular incident, there was a change of ownership which I was unaware and continued to do work for them.

loooool recording "mixing" from a house party last night where I was smashed and seemingly played anything and everything regardless of bpm,genre,key or even logic and reasoning.
