but fair enough if he got someone else to re-vocal it, i'm not even that bothered, it just surprises me that anyone would think she doesn't deserve to be paid for someone sampling her track (one word, two words or otherwise), imagine if it was you singing and you suddenly heard it come blasting out of radio 1. I wouldn't be very impressed and you're damn right i'd want paying.
but it wasn't a tune that she published or owned rights to. it was a song taken off of a tv show, ergo that tv show owns that performance and any sampling rights to it... why would she own it? she hasn't put out anything
