tbf first test was destined to be a draw before it got rained out and we sort of had the upper hand in the second test before it got rained out. The ODI losses were really embarassing though, especially heading into a Sri Lanka tour (best T-20, 4th ODI by ICC rankings) that has no test matches scheduled.

Decent day for England yesterday. Carberry opening and Root at 6 could possibly solve some issues, perhaps it's a bit harsh on Bairstow but I'm sure he'll cope.

Tremlett is my pick as 3rd seamer unless Bresnan somehow becomes fit again, I never really liked Finn and I'm not sure Rankin has earned a place yet.

SA gave Pakistan a hiding in yesterday's T20.
Dale Steyn took Hafeez's wicket for the 13th time in his career.

Dale couldn't contain his laughter after taking the wicket.

Steyn looks like the kind of guy that would creep in to your house and murder everyone with a cricket ball.

Would love it if he was English though.

Won't mention the cricket
except to say one swallow don't make a summer.
But I reckon the chooms were unlucky to lose that RL semi-final
their backline passing was Union-like
& only Sunny Boy Williams' incredible effort got the kiwis home
(I still hate his guts but gotta respect his determination)
