well last year we did a 1mile running race from our halls of residence to our house to decide, that was jokes but people aren't on it this time

i like the arm wrestle idea, but the two people trying to avoid the single will rinse the contest (so bun)

another one we did in our first flat was a pissing competition. whoever could produce the most volume of wizzle in a 1.5L coke bottle won. fun times

i just make them pay more if they want the bigger room

^ yeah, pay per square meter. usually resolves the issue pretty quickly.

ye it's all just a bit peak on my mate, three people said they're cool with this mugabe-esque draw, i'm sitting pretty, it's only the dude in the single with cause to complain and he'll just look butthurt

tbh i'm wondering about offering to take it, it'll mean sitting on the floor all year but 50 bar more a month is what it is, i'm always short on $ and it means more records

wait, the single room in your apt is less desirable?? completely the opposite here. i'd much prefer a single room (with roommates in another bedroom with a common area) than have 2+ people sleeping in the same room

Think it's not that uncommon in student housing in the US. I wouldn't even consider it

We put in two of the dividing walls for the rooms ourselves. Every room has it's advantages and it's just pay per m2. I actually have the smallest which is around 10m2. One thing that really helped was making a two level desk.

Seems like all these YES voters suddenly care about food banks, the needy and the homeless. Don't think any of the people I've seen suddenly care about these things ever do anything to help those in need.
