He released that epoch EP this year on his label that was all 140 iirc

the Facta one is 140 aswell.

all the 130 stuff on tempa sounds like it went through the youngsta treatment: long, empty, even unnecessary intro & outros + random dungeon-esque sounds that don't fit in. so it's not like tempa is dropping the youngsta sound in favour of w/e these other artists are doing

yunx was tempa's A&R but parris took over recently.

it's not about the tempo, it's about the vibe as well. it would be sad if tempa stopped releasing tunes by the likes of j:kenzo, skeptical, truth, amit, proxima, axh, etc.

I thought so aswell, but when I heard "Caught" at outlook the inner vibe was strong. maybe I should come back to this stuff in a year or two and then decide on a final verdict.

and i'm not saying parris is going to do this, please don't overreact to my post (munce knows what i mean). i'm just saying i would be disappointed IF it happened.

anyway if you heard some parries mixes you would know he plays lot of 140 too

I actually really like his 140 selections. and some Epoch wouldn't do Tempa any harm...

Didn't realise Parris took over from Yunx, when did this happen? I thought he ran Soundman Chronicles?

Tempa would have done well to sign that Epoch EP on Soundman Chronicles.. such a huge release and Numatik sounds like a tribute to old Loefah tunes so it would have suited nicely on an iconic dubstep label like Tempa.

Tempa could go so many ways its probably a bit pointless speculating at this stage, I just hope they release the Nomine and Proxima albums soon, Nomine album will probably be the closest LP to reach the quality of the Horsepower LPs imo.. I think hes a very versatile producer that could make a very good album.


Oh and I'm pissed off cause its fucking flu season and my first day off in ages has been spent laying in bed while this cough licks off my headtop.

theres a hodge and facta bit forthcoming on tempa which is pretty uncharacteristic of them. still a sick tune tho
