well if I said yes to that, I would be contradicting myself. I won't deny that we haven't all called a bunch of people those words, but I mean now that I'm on the subject, that's just the thing; when you call someone a cigarette or a gay, what is the quality behind that person that you are really describing after all? Are we not all strange or unique in our own ways? Was he a coward, or maybe a fool, or maybe a weakling, or maybe highly specialized in the use of computers, or maybe he enjoys comic books, or maybe he likes to write poetry. We should all learn to sympathize with each other, and rather than rationalize and generalize; we should treat equally and without bias. Something to think about while u taek a poop.

He had a hot girlfriend... And I'm just here.

Yeah I seen some pretty odd relationships...

There was a girl in my class who flirted with everybody... Was in the upper ranks in terms of attractiveness. Yet she had a 400lb brony boyfriend.

too late, didn't read.

But wearing a fedora is behaviour. So that's one link.

untrue; you see there are different reasons why one would wear a fedora. Remember every other human being has their own inner thought, just like ourselves.

Was it that he saw an old black and white film, and the protagonist inspired him fashion wise?

Or was it that he was tired of seeing a bunch of bottom class baseball caps everywhere, so he decided to give his headwear a tweak?

Or was it that he really just enjoys black clothing, and a fedora is the perfect headwear to accompany the remainder of his attire?

Remember, the agitating thing is that the internet seems to associate this act of wearing this hat with the description it is given.

Man wears fedora is blank, therefore, every man who wears fedora is blank.

What if a friend of your knew a man who enjoyed bass music, but this kid went on and on about how he was the son of christ? Does this now mean that everyone who enjoys bass music is god's son?

We should be judging a person by their inner qualities and passing assumptions in the same language. WE should NOT be judging a personal trait, and making a physical assumption. Are all mexicans mentally retarded? Are all italian americans sensitive philosopher juniors? Are all men who wear circular glasses hipsters? Or are we all traversing the world in homes masked as bodies trying to make sense of the world while a bunch of armchair warriors attempt tp label every god damn thing with a pulse?

also, I am aware that there are a small percentage of people who are the opposite, and will actually pick a personality, and then jump into that personality with aformentioned style. FOr instance, zumiez, abercrombie and fitch, pacsun, gap. What would you like to be highschooler with your parents credit card? Would you like to be a skater, a surfer, a metrosexual, a minimalist? Don't worry, we have every choice right here at your local mall. Some people like dubstep, and then buy a bunch of dubstep tshirts to label themselves so that they know. Some people will jump on every stylistic fashion bandwagon there is, the clothing of the week, whether it be some ironic t shirt, or maybe a pair of hypebeast sneakers, or what have you. Some people, and these are the lowest form of humans thought and creativity wise, are so small that they have to justify their human behavior with a uniform, almost as if they find themselves to be unique with this label; when at the same time, hundreds of thousands of obese men with leather jackets and loud motorcycles are just like you. THis is all I am trying to say here, and if you understand where I am coming from, I am sure that you can sympathize with my frustrations in this field.

ALSO, i have a big problem with the bullying of others, and as we all know, bullying persists not from behavior indicators, but physical ones. Oh look, a black girl in an all white highschool, let's make fun of how unnatractive I find her; funny right? Let's make fun of that kid who wears a fedora even though he probably has nothing against anyone, and in fact the bully should be round house kicked to the face, his beautiful non fedora wearing face. Fuck anyone who makes fun of someones appearance. What's wrong with dickman if he has a fat face and skinny limbs Oh hes an outdoorsman, so he should have large arms and a six pack obviously.

What your saying is true, but wearing a fedora is still behaviour. You have to "wear" it. You're actively, and irrefutably choosing to do THAT, of all things.
It's already a small enough portion of the population to look further into the traits the people who do it share, a prominent shared trait is their ability to induce cringing in those who don't wear fedoras, and that is why this thread exists.

Is it worth reading though or is it just you regurgitating the bit where you can't recognize this behaviour ?

We also aren't making fun of all people who wear fedoras, just the ones who make us cringe, there's a page with discussion about good people who wore fedoras in here somewhere.

And wearing a fedora isn't physical because nobody was born with one attached to their head.

I'm not saying physical has to be a born thing, I am speaking of outside perception, whether it be permanent, or clothing or otherwise.
