0059: Merseyside Police confirm they are dealing with a number of incidents in South Liverpool, including cars being set alight. Members of the public have been advised to avoid Smithdown Road, Lodge Lane and Upper Parliament Street. In a statement, Merseyside Police's Andy Ward said: "Officer have tonight dealt with a small number of incidents of violence across the city. We will not tolerate any violence on the streets of Liverpool and have taken swift and robust action in response."

got stuck in lewisham on the way home from work just as it was starting to kick off there coz the bus wasn't running, managed to get a train back home eventually, went for a little wander around bromley high street at about 8ish and nothing was happening at all but everything did feel very uneasy and there was a larger police presence than usual and quite a few decent sized groups of kids about 16-18yo just milling about presumably waiting... apparently i got back home just as it was getting going in bromley, heard people on fb talking about fires in primark and topshop but haven't had any confirmation on that as of yet.

doubt im going to work tomorrow really, travelling from bromley to deptford is going to be virtually impossible

its only really just hit home how insane this actually is, i just hope no1 gets hurt

Just got word that they hit Brent Cross Shopping Centre and Ikea in North West London. This is getting far to close to my front door now :S

And clifford, they don't steal phones unless they're from phoneshops.

These people really are acting like animals. Don't they understand that this is their own city they're wrecking, that they are the ones who have to live here after this shit has died off?
