This fear of Romney is cute. All big corporate banker money is going to Obama. Romney's a petty distraction. He's not a superconservative hawk with the chance to win. He's the 'progressive pro-choice Republican from Massachusetts'. He just talks the talk to get the hardcore Republicans on his side. But Obama's gonna win this hands down. And while y'all get ready to party that a fascist with socialist talk is gonna win the presidency again, he's getting ready to take more of your civil liberties and bomb some more Muslim countries. Hell maybe kickstart WW3 by bombing Iran.

Fascism should rightly be called Corporatism, as it is the merger of corporate and government power

All forms of democracy are evil, but in America's case, it makes sense. I don't see why the more densely populated areas, who have different political inclincations, should decide for the less densely populated ones. It's merely leveling the playingfield.

It sacrifices self-sovereignty for mobrule. When did I allow the majority of my country to impose its will on me? I never consented to it. 'Democracy' is only morally justifiable when each individual participating in a democratic decision making process has actively consented to wanting to be apart of it. But when it comes to running a society, it's just dressing up 'tyranny of the masses' with a less menacing name.

That's why we have federally protected rights. There are plenty of protections for minorities in our constitution from freedoms of expression and enterprise to the rights of states with differing opinions. On consent, participating in all of the institutions set up by the government is giving tacit consent. It all goes back to Locke and Hobbes.

I despise representational democracy, but I have no objection to direct democracy. If not some sort of democracy, then what?

Non-coercive coexistence where people are allowed to voluntarily, on an individual basis, decide what they want?

bc if you want to live anywhere with taxation and public infrastructure/services, i.e. not a 3rd world shithole, you need democracy
