It's just an amen break running through a dr. rex player in reason. I automated it to pitch down. All of the glitching was done with either Sugarbytes Effectrix or d Blue glitch, I can't remember what I used on that particular track. You won't be able to use those plugins in reason though so you have to rewire to another program or bounce the break out of reason and import the audio into another DAW.

Probably extremely simple but the rise starting around 0:45. I hear a lot of those in Deadmau5 productions or other dance music artist. Is there something about looping the amp envelope or is it something a lot easier than that ?

I've always wondered how to make the "whoo" sound in the good old "Block Rockin Beats"
(The one that starts around 1:12)
It sounds pretty simple but I've been having trouble making it sound like this. Any help is appreciated, thanks ^_^

Biggups for answering! I only use Ableton live 8 and I have d blue glitch but never really used it, might try this out with some amens or different breaks. thanks again.
Not a brilliant song but it's an example of what I'm looking for.
The bass that comes in at 0:55 sounds a bit grainy and a bit far away... That's the best description I can give really.
I've tried stereo widening to make it sit as far back as possible in the mix...
I've tried downlsampling with Bitcrusher to make it grainy...
I've tried Eqing and destortion.
And I still can't make it sound similar.
Any other effects people can suggest? :}
Thx.

If this is easier to make with a seperate VST, I use Logic too.
Anyone help with this
i too would love to know this too.. it's kind on hip hop sounding, dr dre style..

HOW! do you get that wobble sound in like taxman - evasion (vip)? and dj hazard - Killers dont die? if you dont know what i mean...
its really really strange, like not bassy, a really light but powerful sort of bass? been trying for agess! im using reason 4 aswell by the way, ive always thought it was just 1 or two octaves but then its put through low cuts but what else?

I have a further question... was the amen you used the original that you tidied up and got sounding how you wanted yourself 'from scratch' so to speak, or a pre-processed one from a sample pack that you then fiddled with? Purely out of curiousity mate, I suck at making the amen break sound how I want. Actually, I suck with breaks full stop
feeling the 'Swagga' remix you did btw, big tings.
