@Grok I always have trouble with intros. Everyone I have shown the song to says the same thing. The intro and the drop are just 2 completely different songs. Im gonna change the intro up and ill definitely use that other wobble more.

@ogunslinger - coc-1 Good Vibrations, a good transition from the light elements to hard in the beginning. I would have made a high hat a little louder.
Good mixed thing. Today I tuned more on the soft chill tunes, so I say that I liked the beginning. Sorry for my poor feedback,I know you wanted
more detailed description but i can't add anything.
@xistenzbass - your first WIP. Nice drums and percussion. A good combination of midbass and sub, but sub is sometimes not loud enough in my opinion. And yet, tune lenght is 5.50 but I did not see how it came to an end, so that a good structure, and I liked the dark mood.
@Pyrez - s-o-ft-force-wipv3-33. I like this thing, especially at 1.48. Nice Sounding FX, reminded the Knife party. Notes: a strong reverb on the drums, especially snare drum, as well as mid distorted bass, unless you yourself are not wanted. Since I have not set up today on bangers just can not add anything more/
Here is my second song that i show here. I know the lead sometimes is too loud and the tune is bad structured, but it is just a couple of hours today.
P.S. Sorry for my poor English,
Here in Russia we just drink vodka and not enough practicing languages.

Alright, I attempted some house, I'm not sure if it's house xD but It's ok, I know it needs work, please point me in the right direction, It's very short because right now it's just the intro, but I still need some help finding out where to go

sounds super fast, break it down after 16 bars and maybe bring in the riddim slower the arp sounds good but defintly need some more elements to make it all coherent

Grok wrote:RightOnTime27: Really nice intro! The drop is cool but I think you should keep the riff from the intro actually and maybe change it in the second drop instead. If not at least add something more in the second drop even though the switch up at 1:59 sits very good. Nice percussions but I would like a bigger kick. Heavy sub and I especially like the bass pitch at 1:42. Solid tune!
Captain Carnage: Cool! I like the ruff style but I think you could work some on the drums. Maybe a deeper kick and snare with more punch (keep the snare but layer it with something punchier). Bass and the subtle wobble is really good and sits very nicely with that synth which in itself is cool. I definitely think you should finish it.
Gaol: I like the intro a lot. The pad, piano and sample works good together. I'm not too sure on the drop though. I was expecting something more ambient or melodic with that intro. I'm also not too keen on the main screeching synth sound to be honest and like it better when it's toned down at 1:03 and in the second drop (the small wobble you use at 1:33 sounds really crisp btw, I think you should use that more!). Finally I think the beat is a bit too minimalistic for that kind of drop. Add some more percussions and it will sound better I think. Mix overall sounds good though.
My WIP:

@grok
big up on that saw pad

lovin it and i suggest getting a lil more sidechain compression on the intros kick with the subass, the bottom of the kick isnt really cutting through but all in all really awsome vibe almost like some 70's rave shiz
big up!

Thanks to everyone for the feedback, I will continue to work and I hope you enjoy my stuff when it is finished
Some feedback:
@ Hero kentucky-gentelmen-clip, I liked the development, not boring to listen to, I would like to hear again the part that starts at 0.23. Also liked the non-standard arrangement and melody
@ Hero funkinstien-wip I think it is a complete tune. I have nothing to add to criticize, clean mix and original sound. I would, perhaps slightly simplified here and there, but I think that part of your style. Ending just perfect
I can't say that I really really liked the style, but you have it, and quite original
@Grok fixa-wip futuristic sound. Reminded by the sound of some of the Nero stuff. This tune has raised me up, like a positive attitude. Easy to Listens, lot of variation. Also liked the accelerated rhythm of the drums at the end of tune
@ LiquidBass I agree with the Hero, there would have been appropriate breakdown. Nice intro. I think it might be a good thing, develop theme further

@Grok I love that whole track, but there is definitely something about the glitchy piece in the intro that isn't sounding too good... Other than that the thing I love the most about the track is It's Chiptune characteristics. I also love the snare. ^^
@Hero I love that Funkenstein track, I'm a huge fan of Funk and you've just about nailed it. I'm uhmm... Just not liking the 4th vocal sample. "E" "Ooh" "I'm" is good, it needs to end with something like "Ne" That way it works smoother instead of it being so 'off' place.
@Captain Carnage I agree with what Hero said.
Now for mine... I've been still experimenting with instrument volumes and mastering, I'm quite a slow learner. And I take my music inspirations from House music, Chiptune, and grimey Dubstep like Eptic, Document One, Zomboy, Rogue and sometimes Knife Party with their sexy lasers that go "WHOOP!"
But anyways, This was a test with 808 drums, moog chords and some chiptune synthesizers. I'm not sure if this is good or not, but it's up to you to give me some feedback as I will do again in return.
This ones much like a mix of Hardstyle, Chiptune, House and Dubstep. (No not "WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB!!!!")

@grok yer drums sound great, except i want a bit more low end in your kick.. Other than that I'd say just add a few more fills and maybe one or two more elements that are very subtle and can come in and out. I'm wanting a bit more variation as it goes along. Amazing synth work though. Tasteful chubby guys there.

@hero (kentucky gentleman) I think you're mixing your midrange basses way too high! I want the drums to cut through way more, no sense having dance music without a beat. Funkenstein is suffering much less from this problem though. Amazing synth work though. I can see why you want to showcase them in the front of the mix. Damn.
@byteme: I really appreciate the acidy pads and the harmony in yer leads, but think that the drums could use work.. Don't know how attached you are to 808 sounds only for the track, but the clap could use a thumpy natural snare under it, or even a synthesized one if its midrange. maybe layering the kick too. shrug.

I started this a few months ago and I just kind of got stuck.
I'm not sure if I want to do a dubstep chorus with vocals after the electro drop or keep it full-time/dance beat style.
I just know I want it to actually have a chorus after the drop.
What do you guys think?

@ Hero i like the groove in the bassline
@BYTEME im not too familiar with chip, but for my taste that one note gets too high, try and stay under 80 hz imo.
@Jamesmakin you should have a proggression chorus of the wobble holding a note a quarter of a measure and have it progress higher for two measures, then drop it again. and if you can put some vocals during the chorus
heres my track. its chillstep, and i'm just hoping it is going smoothly, that synth variation at the last two measures is going to have a different tone, but should i keep it soft or more sharp?
