just play w/e you want. it's a bit naive to turn it into a groove vs drop debate, no offence. obvs it's all down to preference but you'd just miss out on good shit on either side.

nowadays it seems like anything that gets remotely popular gets rinsed to death in a matter of months; hence all the dudes crying "fwd". it's not about "artificially disliking" something, it's more like shit gets stale after a while and there's no point in supporting it further - you just end up getting the same tune over and over again. and in some cases - say dubby dubstep - it's not even a new thing. i got plenty of older records in that vein, why would i bother getting newer ones that aren't even as good (imo of course). add to that various other reasons like changing tastes, drops in quality etc.
again, it's all about personal preference, some people like getting the same thing over and over again (if it's good why change it), some don't. but, like jurkhands said, this is/was a "specialist" forum dedicated to a scene that was built around doing things differently.
that being said, just cause a tune is super "fwd" doesn't mean it's any good, and vice versa. there's plenty of bait shit that imo rightfully deserves all the critiques it gets tho

It has to be forward thinking. Personally I dont even like good stuff.
Good just means someone disagreeing with me won a discussion I wasn't even a part of. No smiley.
On an ultimo philosophical level (which is just something i made up now)
It could be said that the only good stuff is the stuff that birfs a discussion. So having the fwd tag put on something at least means that goes on.
